Guest Post: Ali Smiles

Hellooooo again. Guess what? You get another amazing visitor today! Class, say hello to one of my oldest blog buddies, Ali.

(In unison) "Hi, Miss Ali!"

And don't forget to enter my giveaway when you're finished here! There are only a few entries so far, so your chances of winning are looking pretty good!

Hey ladies (and perhaps the occasional gent?). This is Ali, from The Way I See It, filling in for our lovely Ashley while she is away. I've been a fan of Smile Steady for a while now. In fact, Ashley's blog was one of the first I started reading when I began blogging, so she'll always hold a special place in my heart.

When I was brainstorming about what to blog about today, I decided to take the sweet and simple route: this blog is called Smile Steady, so why not talk about a few things that make me smile at a steady rate? Eh? So here we go.

Coffee.

I'm a New Yorker, so I pretty much grew up with caffeine in my baby bottle (not really, don't call Child Protective Services or anything!). I'm not addicted by any means, I just feel that why wouldn't you want that little kick start in the morning?

Heels.

Until about 2 years ago, I was never a shoe gal...let along a heel gal! But after coming to the realization that heels (gasp) make you look taller, my 5'4" self was praising the heel Gods on a daily basis. And joining Shoe Dazzle. Heels, me love you long time.

Travel.

After going on a 10 day trip to Israel, I got the travel bug like none other. Ever since college, I have dreamed about seeing as much of Europe as I could. And at long last, I'm finally fulfilling that dream with a 14 day excursion to 9 European countries in September. Boo. Ya.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

I really have no words for this one. It's a problem. In a wonderful way.

Turquoise.

And cupcakes, for that matter. Killin' 2 birds with one stone here. I have absolutely no idea what my wedding (or future husband) will look like, but I do know that I will have turquoise bridesmaid dresses, dang it. That is the only constant in my life. I keed, hello dramatic Ali.

I have thousands more things, but didn't want to take over Ashley's blog. At least not in one day...

What are some of your smile steadies?
